56 Brewing is an off-sale brewery in Northeast Minneapolis. We are open for growler purchases on Fridays from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturdays from noon – 8:30 pm. While we are not able to pour you a pint, you are welcome to sample our beers before deciding on your purchase.
We have a core lineup of bold and session craft beers with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and using seasonal variations and infusions. Honey Kolsch, Dark Chocolate Coconut Stout and Rye Lager and Pale Ale style beers. We will utilize a barrel aged program to rotate in for select core and also seasonal brews. High quality craft beer produced at a lower volume in a micro-brewery allows us to focus on quality, consistency and the ability to rotate beer styles efficiently.
Our focus is on community and beer lovers alike, highlighting the NE Minneapolis community and brewery culture.
CSB – Community Supported Brewery
56 is a Community Supported Brewery. Our CSB allows people to receive the products at a discount and keeps you privvy to the latest and greatest brews as they become available. Visit our CSB page to find out more information. CSB memberships. They may be purchased from our on-line store or in person at the brewery.
We have turned an industrial, brown space into usable green gardens and patio spaces – intentional synergy with the ground and brewery or as we like to say, “Garden to Growler”. We grow and showcase hop varieties at the facility and local indigenous spices, herbs, flowers and plants in gardens that we use in pilot beer creations. We strive to be environmentally friendly, to offset the carbon footprint of our facility and to utilize a rainwater collection system for our gardens and plants.
