Loondale is a Minneapolis-based band that blends funk, pop, disco, and more into a full, cohesive sound that gets people bobbing their head and moving their feet. The band prides themselves on writing tunes with catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and memorable horn licks backed by a strong, pulsating groove, never failing to deliver high-energy performances that leave people wanting more. 

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Jamiroquai, Chic, Cory Wong, and Parcels, Loondale is in touch with both the past and present of funk and disco music and strives to find their own unique twist of the sounds and rhythms that have kept people dancing for decades.

After playing a few well-received shows in the spring of 2024, Loondale took a break that ended up becoming a 15-month hiatus. They came back together in fall 2025 and are more inspired now than ever, with a full 10-piece band, lots of new tunes, and fresh energy that is propelling them to bring their vibrant music to audiences around the Twin Cities and beyond.

The band consists of Chandra Bouma (vocals/sax), Tessa Rahrick (vocals/harmonies), Fito Münger (guitar/composition), Anthony Itambo (bass), Juan Villoldo (rhythm guitar/percussion), Brian Lefchak (keys), Jack Strand (drums), Ian Decker (sax), Colin Garrelts (trumpet), and Cory Lau (trombone).
